Terrible Customer Service and Unethical Business Practices (Unauthorized Charges) - Registered Agent
After a year of forming our LLC through LegalZoom, my business partner and I decided to amicably part ways. For months, LegalZoom was sending the Registered Agent bills to the wrong address. My former business partner called and said I was the primary contact on the account. Every time I would call them, they would require that I answer the personal account information about my former partner, which I didn't know, and then it would necessitate constantly being on hold, calling them back, etc. They wouldn't even let me PAY the bill! After a long saga, I decided to take my business elsewhere (Bizfilings - they were great). Lo and behold, LegalZoom has continued to send me bills for the Registered Agent (though I have told them I've taken my business elsewhere) and my former business partner just contacted me today saying they CHARGED her credit card without her authorization for the Registered Agent fee! Terrible customer service and highly unethical business practices. Boo LegalZoom.
