Bait and Switch - Establish LLC
I thought I would save some time and effort by going thru Legal Zoom to file for a CA LLC. The advertising specifies $99 as a cost. I received a phone call from their customer service dept. and they made themselves available for questions, but also told me that the state was running up to three weeks behind. I had to turn down a large number of "up-sell" items to keep the cost down. I later got an email placing the account on hold. I called them and they stated that the order would take up to a month an a half to process, unless I upgraded to the more expensive premium service. He said that they process a lot of LLC's and that I would be placed way down the line with that $99 service that I paid for. Next time I will simply either find someone else or do it myself. Although this process has just started, I know wrong when I see it.

0 Legal Zoom LIED To me. They told me the business name I wanted to have ammended was dissolved completely when in fact by simply checking the Secretary of State Websited and making one phone call, I found out it was not and that means they LIED To rack up the price from 120 to 297! Guess what though? I didn't pay them! I paid only 25$ through the Secretary of State to Ammend my LLC. Nice try! - Take my advice, don't use them! I almost was ripped off ROYALLY!
0 I had the same issue with Legal Zoom, nothing but a big headache. I used LawTrades after trying legal zoom. Everything went smoothly and I got help from a real lawyer. LawTrades.com, hope it works!
